Have you ever watched a TED Talk from TED.com?
They are between 5 minutes and 18 minutes long, and every week day a new one is put online. They are free to watch, anywhere in the world.
Each video has an “idea worth sharing”. One moment you might learn about the life of a bee, the next, you’ll learn about programming bacteria, or engineering food, or artificial intelligence, or dinosaurs, or capitalism, or space travel, or kindergartens, or poverty, or poetry, or maths, or dreams.
Watching these videos is addictive, but the real treat is a live event like TEDxTauranga.
When? Saturday 7 October 2017, 10am to 6pm
Where? Holy Trinity Church, 215 Devonport Rd, Tauranga
What is it?
10 live speakers on stage + 4 TED videos + 3 entertainment acts + glorious food + 850 other interesting people in the audience to meet and talk to

Now the good news
Normally tickets are $99 per person, but TEDxTauranga has chosen Avalon as a “Pay it Forward Partner”.
This means that TEDxTauranga is offering the public a “Pay it forward” ticket option where they buy a ticket for themselves and one for a worthy recipient. That’s where you come in, would you like one of these tickets? All you have to do is email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with a few reasons why we should choose you.
Entries close on 29th September. Best of luck!
